Association “AIDROM Information and Community Support Centre” – IaÅŸi
History:
CISC was founded on 18th October 2007, as an initiative of the Ecumenical Association of Churches in Romania – AIDRom, with the purpose to contribute to the sustainable development of rural and urban communities in this area, by raising the capacity of main local social actors, especially Churches and religious cults, in identifying and implementing projects.
In December 2008, CISC becomes an independent organization, gaining juridical status.
Since 2007 our work was focused on the following fields of activity:

Ecumenical relations and religious freedom;

Social-Diakonia;

Environment and sustainable development;

Professional formation of adults, setting up formation programmes for adults, promoting gender equality;

Emergency response in case of natural or industrial disasters;
-
Human rights and anti-discrimination.
General objectives:
-
Development of educational and social insertion programmes for disadvantaged or groups at risk
-
Reintegration of children at risk
-
Partnerships with associations and agencies with similar activity in developing concrete actions with a wider focus, for various periods of time
-
Encouraging Churches’ involvement in CISC fields of activity
-
Setting up new forms of education, professional formation, further training and vocational training for adults (including for the unemployed)

Development of programmes, studies, researches on environment protection and sustainable development

Development of programmes on prevention of criminality and psycho-social rehabilitation of minor delinquents, convicted and former convicted
-
Development of programmes and activities for counseling and assistance in implementing the concept of gender equality and of equal opportunities in all social levels

Development of programmes, studies and researches on human rights, anti-discrimination, alternative justice – ex. mediation
-
Development of programmes on socio-professional integration and spiritual personal development for persons with disabilities and disadvantaged, or persons at risks.

Developed activities/ projects:
-
22-23 May 2009 - Co-organizer in the National Symposium “Sufferance and Healing in Contemporary Society. Inter-disciplinary perspectives“
-
April 2009 – signing the Open Letter: the New Penal Law, criticized by the representatives of the Civil Society
-
January 2008 – the project ”Equal opportunities on the labor market” – carried out in cooperation with „TRUST MOLDOVA” Company; had as main objective the socio-professional reintegration of young people with special needs; 40 persons have found a job in the field of constructions.

Since October 2007 – the project ”Prevention of Human Trafficking”, financed by AIDRom, with the main purpose to prevent trafficking situations and to inform young people from high-schools and vocational schools in Iasi on the severity of this phenomenon Since

January 2008 – the project „Say NO to Violence”, aiming to prevent domestic violence, but also violence in schools and in society, by organizing round tables, trainings for social actors and meetings with persons at risk, by setting up a network at rural community level for helping potential victims, by raising awareness on the recent violent acts within Rroma communities

In partnership with ANOFM (National Agency for Labor Occupation), a vocational training was organized for 20 women, victims of domestic violence from Vladeni village; 7 women managed to get a job and opened small family businesses in the village.
