Emergency Response
Emergency Response is defined as the activities carried out immediately after the natural disaster have occurred, in order to assist the affected population with the most urgent needs and to mitigate the impact of the disaster. The Emergency Response is carried out in two phases:
- Crisis Phase Assistance - when immediate humanitarian aid is distributed in form of family food parcels, hygiene kits, medicines and disinfectants, clothing, blankets and bed clothes, securing the drinking water sources (well cleaning and disinfection)
- Post Crisis Rehabilitation – assisting the most vulnerable victims with home and farm rehabilitation with contribution to home reconstruction, retrieving personal properties, crops and livestock, contributing to rehabilitation of small, local infrastructure elements
Objectives and Visions of Emergency Response Programs
- to identify the most affected areas by any natural disaster or other calamities
- to participate in co ordination of effective field work
- to assist the churches, local authorities and people in the process of decreasing the damages and alleviation of human suffering
